Policy Panel
The policy panel is organized by the Human Development Lab of the Universidad de los Andes, Chile. It is part of the series “Chile in Construction: Debates for the Future” and will focus on how Chile can prepare for the labor market of tomorrow. The event aims to bring together leading academics, business leaders, and policymakers to discuss the challenges and opportunities posed by technological change, evolving skill demands, and transformations in the world of work.
Speakers include Dante Contreras, Full Professor at the University of Chile; Luciano Cruz-Coke, President of the Senate Committee on Labor and Social Security; and Rosario Navarro, President of SOFOFA. Welcome remarks will be delivered by José Miguel Simian, and the panel will be moderated by Andrés García. There will also be opportunities for attendees to engage with the speakers and discuss key issues related to employment, skills development, and public policy.
Venue
The policy panel will take place at the Aula Magna of the Biblioteca Building. The main entrance to the campus is located at Monseñor Álvaro del Portillo 12.455, Las Condes. The panel will start at 8:30am, but registration and coffee will begin at 8:00am. There will be coffee and biscuits for participants.
