We are pleased to welcome Josefina Vilaplana as a new predoctoral researcher at the Human Development Lab. Josefina holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Economics from the Universidad de Chile, and her research interests focus on labor economics and the economics of education.
Her work seeks to address topics that are relevant both from a public policy and academic perspective. In her Master’s thesis, she studied the effects of parenthood on criminal trajectories, and she is currently working on a project that estimates the impact of immigration on native students’ academic performance.
Josefina is actually working with our Director Andrés Barrios
We are thrilled to have her on board!
